Freight dispatch for owner-operators · Dry van, flatbed & car haulers

We know what your truck costs to run.
We book loads that beat it.

Before we search a single board, we work out your real number — truck payment, fuel average, insurance, maintenance reserve, and what you need to clear every week. That number becomes your rate floor, and nothing under it gets sent to you. Your first 3 loads are dispatched free so you can check our math against your own settlements.

Free cost-per-mile breakdown on the call. No credit card.

The Offer

We run your numbers first.
Then we prove it on three loads.

Most dispatchers open with a percentage. We open with a spreadsheet — what your truck actually costs per mile, and what you need to book to hit your income target.

  • 3 FREE

    Loads Dispatched Free

Your first three loads cost you nothing in dispatch fees. Not discounted — free. You keep 100% of the linehaul, and you get the rate math on every one.

    $0 out of pocket
  • 10%

    Then Just 10% Per Load

One flat rate on the linehaul. No monthly retainer, no setup fee, no hidden factoring markup — so the fee is already built into the floor we set with you.

    Only paid when you're paid
  • YOUR FLOOR

    We Book To Your Number

You tell us what you need to clear per mile and per week. We treat it as a hard floor, negotiate up from it, and show you the arithmetic on every rate confirmation.

    Agreed before load one

On the paperwork: there's a one-page dispatch agreement so we can represent your authority to brokers, with no term and no cancellation fee. We'd rather keep your truck by hitting your target than by holding you to a contract.

Comparing dispatchers? We wrote up what truck dispatchers charge and what the fee should cover.

How It Works

From your numbers to a loaded trailer

Four steps. No portals to learn, no apps to download. You drive, we do the math and the phone calls.

  1. We build your cost per mile

Truck payment, fuel average, insurance, maintenance reserve, trailer, permits, and your fixed monthly nut. You leave the call knowing your breakeven and the rate you have to hold to hit your income target.

    15 minutes
  2. We set your floor and lanes

Your target rate per mile, minimum load value, home-time window, and the lanes you'll run go into your file. Send your MC authority, W-9 and insurance cert, and we build your carrier packets.

    Same day
  3. First free load dispatched

We work the boards and our broker list, negotiate up from your floor, and send the rate con with the math attached: gross, loaded miles, deadhead, and the all-in rate per mile against your target.

    Usually 24–48 hrs
  4. Weekly numbers, not guesswork

Next load lined up before you unload, check calls handled, detention and lumpers chased. Every week you get one page: gross, total miles, deadhead percentage, and your actual average rate per mile versus target.

    Every week after

Why Jasper

Why owner-operators choose Jasper Logistics

We're dispatchers who work in numbers. One person who knows your truck, your costs, your lanes, and the week you need to have.

  • Your cost per mile, calculated

We build it line by line off your real spend — not an industry average. You get the worksheet, so the number is yours to keep and check whenever fuel or insurance moves.

  • Rates negotiated up from your floor

We never book the first number a broker offers, and we don't book under your floor to fill a truck. Every counter starts from what the load has to pay you, not what the broker budgeted.

  • Less deadhead, better all-in rate

Empty miles don't just burn fuel — they drag down the rate per mile you actually earned. We plan loads as a route so your paid-mile percentage climbs week over week.

  • Broker relations & paperwork handled

Carrier packets, rate cons, check calls, BOL/POD chasing, detention claims and lumper receipts. You send the paperwork, we do the arguing and the follow-up.

  • Direct dispatcher access

One dispatcher, one cell number. Call, text, or WhatsApp them directly — no ticket queue, no "your dispatcher is unavailable," no repeating your situation to a new person every week.

  • DOT / MC compliant

We only book with vetted, bonded brokers, and we keep your authority, insurance certs, and MC filings current so a paperwork lapse never parks your truck.

  • Dry van, flatbed & car hauler specialists

We don't dabble in eight trailer types. We know these three — securement and tarp pay, load ratios on open and enclosed car haulers, seasonal rate swings, and which brokers actually pay accessorials without a fight.

  • Weekly numbers you can check

One page every week: gross, loaded and empty miles, deadhead percentage, and your average rate per mile against the target we set. If we're drifting, you'll see it before we do.

Straight Answers

Questions we get on every first call

How do you work out my cost per mile?

Line by line, off your actual spend — not a national average. Truck and trailer payment, insurance premium, fuel at your real MPG and current prices, maintenance and tire reserve, permits and plates, ELD and parking, plus whatever you draw personally each month. We divide by the miles you realistically run.

That gives you two numbers: breakeven (what a mile costs you) and target (what a mile has to pay for the week you want). You keep the worksheet either way.

What if the first 3 loads don't hit my number?

They shouldn't get to you in the first place — the floor is set before we search, and nothing below it gets sent. You always see the rate, loaded miles, deadhead, and the resulting rate per mile before you accept anything.

If your lanes genuinely can't support the target you need, we'll say that on the first call rather than spend your three free loads finding out. Sometimes the fix is a different lane or a different home-time window, and we'd rather tell you that up front.

Do I have to sign a contract?

You sign a one-page dispatch agreement so we can legally represent your authority to brokers — that's a requirement of the arrangement, not a lock-in. There's no term, no minimum load count, and no cancellation fee.

We'd rather earn the next load by beating your target than hold you with paperwork.

What lanes and equipment do you work?

Dry van, flatbed (including step deck) and car haulers — that's what we specialize in and where our broker relationships are. We run 48-state OTR plus regional and dedicated lanes, and we build your schedule around where you need to be home.

How fast can I start?

If your MC authority is active and you have your insurance cert and W-9 ready, we can usually run your numbers, onboard you, and set your floor the same day you call — with the first free load dispatched inside 24–48 hours. Broker-side carrier packet approvals are the only thing that can add a day.

What's the catch? Nobody dispatches for free.

The three free loads aren't a giveaway — they're how we validate our own math on your lanes. We've told you what your truck costs and what we think we can hold per mile. Three rate confirmations either prove that or they don't, and we'd rather find out on our dime than argue about it in month two.

To be clear about what "free" means: no dispatch fee, no setup fee, no credit card, no card on file. You pay fuel, tolls, and your own operating costs like always.

Do you take a cut of detention, lumper, or accessorial pay?

No. Our 10% comes off the linehaul only. Detention, layover, TONU, tarp pay, and lumper reimbursements are 100% yours — and we're the ones chasing the broker to get them paid, because those dollars are part of hitting your weekly number.

Do I need my own authority and insurance?

Yes — we dispatch under your MC authority, so you'll need active operating authority, a minimum of $1M auto liability and $100K cargo coverage, and a current W-9. If you're still in the process of getting your authority, call us anyway and we'll tell you exactly what's left to do and what it'll add to your cost per mile.
